Honey I love you... + Giveaway
I've officially entered taper time and also time to put myself in a huge bubble. My real life job is a HS Math teacher - and I swear every single one of my students has a cold or the flu...and of course, my daughter is complaining about not feeling well.
I might be a little OCD about germs. Note - I was a horrible elementary teacher as all kids at that age have strings of snot coming out of their noses all day long. Thankfully for me, most of my students at the HS level do not have strings of snot coming out their noses!
So - what's a girl to do when she's trying to stay healthy?
Stay Clean!
Or sanitize. I might be addicted to sanitizer....or as Izzy used to say "tizer". I have a couple of bottles of Clorox wipes in my desk as well...so I am wiping surfaces down with those as well - my laptop, desks, pens, phone....you name it! At home - I'm doing the same. Cleaning like a mad woman...sanitizing like crazy. You get the drift!
Back to the classroom. It took me a few years...but I do not keep a trash can near my desk...nor do I keep tissues in my classroom. A. Tissues are not provided for teachers at the HS and parents really do not "donate" things on the HS level anymore. B. I don't want kids blowing their noses in my classroom anyway! The bathroom is seriously just next door...so they may go there whenever they need to and take care of business...without disrupting class or sharing more germs. Seems like a win-win to me!
Vitamin C.
I love Vitamin C gummies - so I buy a bottle a week and make the family take them - I mean - share them with the family.
Rest.
Something I do not do enough. But for the last couple of days (hello time-change) I've been wiped and heading to be sometimes before the kids do.
HONEY!
I love tea. Ever since the detox started in August, I've become a tea addict. Add in honey...and I'm in heaven!
But - I don't like the stickiness of honey. Half of it stays on the spoon and then I'm leaving the spoon in the tea so the remainder can dissolve.
That is why I LOVE Nektar Honey Crystals! No stickiness and they dissolve instantly... in my tea and even in my applesauce (with cinnamon) of course! And the new easy to pour bottle works amazing!
And you know what? The awesome folks at Nektar Naturals have offered one lucky Running With The Girls reader a bottle of Nektar Honey Crystals!
