Raise your hand if you love running with your pup!  ME!   Well, only one of them.   Pepper is my runner pup.  Mallie just hasn't mastered it yet.      Pepper only really needs a leash for the 1st mile, when she's so excited.... and just wants to go out as fast as possible.  After a mile, she remembers that we're going to be out there for a little longer and slows her pace.  She is great at sticking right beside me.  If I increase my pace, she does.  If I slow or stop, she does too.  She's pretty amazing like that.  But I don't want to be completely leash free.  There are too many other factors out there that I want a leash option all of the time.   Like other dogs.  She doesn't go after other dogs.  But I don't want to take that risk.  Cars too.  The cars are insane on my road.  And I prefer to keep her safe.

Socks are very important to a runner.   If they rub you the wrong way, it will make for a very uncomfortable run.  Bunching up, toes too cold, too hot, rubbing - all things that can go wrong with a sock.  I'm sure there are some other scenarios I've left out. Running at night scares used to terrify me.  But, it all comes down to if I want to run I had to get over this fear.  Running in the darkness is my only option if I plan on running Monday through Friday since it’s dark before school and getting dark when I leave school and it’s going to be this way until mid February/March.  I supposed option B would be to rejoin the gym, but I really don’t want to spend the $$ and I don’t really enjoy the treadmill anymore.  So, outside it is! Tommie Rocks + Giveaway!

 A little over a month ago, Jordan from  Tommie Copper  sent me some Tommie Copper gear to sample.  I nearly peed my pants with excitement when the Tommie package came in the mail.  It was a gorgeous fall afternoon AND I had new gear to try out, so I pushed dinner back and made the executive decision to go for a run immediately.  Have you heard about Tommie Copper ?  This company is known for it’s compression gear that is infused with Copper.  So, why does Tommie use copper in it’s compression gear?  From what I gather, copper has been used medicinally for 1000’s of years.  Apparently copper stimulates the immune system to fight infections, repairs injured tissues and promotes healing.  Do you think if I outfitted myself in TC gear and wore it to school everyday, I would fight off those gross elementary kid germs?  I’m tempted to try that out.  Seriously.   Why do people even wear compression gear?  Do they just like wearing tight clothing?
