The Great Taste Off - Yoplait vs Chobani

This was Ward's 3rd year running the Boston Marathon.  We are quite lucky, because when we head to Massachusetts for the marathon, we also get to have a family reunion with Ward's family, since they do live 15 minutes from Hopkington.  
I knew on the way down they would be the perfect taste testers for the Yoplait vs. Chobani Taste Off.    


The ingredients for the taste off:  Yoplait Greek 100 Strawberry, Chobani Simply 100 Strawberry, and a blindfold.   



Then out came the blindfold and open mouths.  




There is no better way to liven up a party than to pull out a blindfold and have family members taste yogurt.  Oh yes, I know, we are party animals!




To keep my tasters guessing, I would switch the order of the yogurt, sometimes.  I didn't want them to know which one was coming first.  

And the results...... 





As you can see, Yoplait was the clear winner in this taste test!

    I love the look of their water bottles but can't stand the straw thingy that you have to suck on. They have ones with regular lids too, I believe, right? I use my Arbonne water bottle since I am a consultant!

    Fun! I haven't bought yoplait in quite awhile, of course I have really cut back on yogurt overall, I am so tired of how much sugar they put in them and I don't do artificial sweeteners so I usually buy plain and add fruit.

    Love this! My son started our family ditch the disposable and we've been almost disposable-free since. CamelBak is a family favorite for water bottles.

Socks are very important to a runner.   If they rub you the wrong way, it will make for a very uncomfortable run.  Bunching up, toes too cold, too hot, rubbing - all things that can go wrong with a sock.  I'm sure there are some other scenarios I've left out. Running at night scares used to terrify me.  But, it all comes down to if I want to run I had to get over this fear.  Running in the darkness is my only option if I plan on running Monday through Friday since it’s dark before school and getting dark when I leave school and it’s going to be this way until mid February/March.  I supposed option B would be to rejoin the gym, but I really don’t want to spend the $$ and I don’t really enjoy the treadmill anymore.  So, outside it is! Tommie Rocks + Giveaway!

 A little over a month ago, Jordan from  Tommie Copper  sent me some Tommie Copper gear to sample.  I nearly peed my pants with excitement when the Tommie package came in the mail.  It was a gorgeous fall afternoon AND I had new gear to try out, so I pushed dinner back and made the executive decision to go for a run immediately.  Have you heard about Tommie Copper ?  This company is known for it’s compression gear that is infused with Copper.  So, why does Tommie use copper in it’s compression gear?  From what I gather, copper has been used medicinally for 1000’s of years.  Apparently copper stimulates the immune system to fight infections, repairs injured tissues and promotes healing.  Do you think if I outfitted myself in TC gear and wore it to school everyday, I would fight off those gross elementary kid germs?  I’m tempted to try that out.  Seriously.   Why do people even wear compression gear?  Do they just like wearing tight clothing?
