Get Outside!

I was sent coupons to sample noosa yoghurt and a La Sportiva Hail jacket as part of this campaign.  I was not required to give a positive review.  As always, all opinions expressed on my blog are 100% my own.

Personally, I think the best way to celebrate Earth Day is to get outside and show the Earth just how much you love it.  Sounds kind of cheesy but really, it's super simple.  Get outside and do something you love while taking in the natural beauty Earthy has to offer us.

Today was one of those days in Maine, when we were finally able to pop those windows open to air out the stale winter smells and gets some fresh air in our homes or to put the windows down in the car as you let your hair fly around and simply smile.   It's been a long, hard winter and today was an amazing gift.

In our house, we strive to do our best and purchase items that are considered to be friendly to the earth.  A recent discovery and new family favorite is noosa yoghurt.   A fun fact about noosa yoghurt is that it is made in small batches on a family farm in Colorado with all natural whole milk from happy cows and fresh fruit purees using the juiciest and ripest fruits and a touch of wildflower honey.  Another amazing fact is that there are no GMO's in noosa yoghurt!  And the taste?  It's out of this world amazing.   Check out more information and stay in the loop with noosa here.

I'm also learning more and more about Bluesign approved fabrics and cottons and companies that use them.  A new-to-me company is La Sportiva who is committed to providing the best technical products while protecting and preserving the places they love.  I recently received the Hail jacket.  It would have been amazing to have while I volunteered at the water stop at mile 14 on Monday at the Boston Marathon in the downpours, but sadly it arrived while we were out of town.  But it's all good because it's still rather early in the season and I know I'll have a few rainy track meets where my new Hail Jacket will come in handy.  It's super lightweight, waterproof and breathable.  I see lots of rainy miles in my future with this amazing new jacket!

These are just a few of my newest favorite, Earth friendly products.  How about you?   What products do you love that are good for the Earth?  And how did you celebrate Earth Day?
