Day 1 of Marathon Training
It's official - we are 16 weeks from the Maine Marathon and I'm OFFICIALLY in training mode. Technically, I'm half-way there already as I'm just shy of 2 weeks from the KRRT 1/2 Marathon. Here's a picture of me at the Maine (1/2) Marathon...I'll cross that finish line again! Only time as a 1st time Marathoner!
The Yoga To Run plan for this week is:
Monday: 3 miles
Tuesday: Cross Train/Yoga
Wednesday: 4 miles
Thursday: 3 miles
Friday: Cross Train/Yoga
Saturday: 5 miles
Sunday: Yoga
Totals: 15 miles w/ 3 yoga days, 2 cross train days
Unfortunately, I've already altered the plan. Ward had soccer at 6 tonight, which meant he had to leave by 5, so that meant no run for me tonight and to do the Tuesday plan on Monday night. No biggie. My mileage is also going to be a bit off as well, as I've been averaging somewhere in the 28-31 miles/week range. There is always room for flexibility in every plan. Right?
So far, this is my "actual" plan:
Monday: 10 minutes yoga, 30 minutes of Jillian Michaels
Tuesday: 3.5 miles
Wednesday: 4 miles
Thursday: 5 miles
Friday: 6 miles
Saturday: 3.5 miles + yoga
Sunday: 8 miles (long run with the girls) + yoga
Totals: 30 miles, 3 yoga, 1 cross
Very similar plans (we'll see how well I stick to my plan...I'll share later) - shorter/medium/long runs w/ yoga and cross training. I just really need to keep my mileage up! It will dip next week for sure as it's taper week for the 1/2!~

Oh and I should throw it out there, I'm noticing a sweet increase in my followers. When I hit 50 followers - there will be a giveaway. I'm not sure what yet!
