Tried It Tuesday

I don't know about where you live, but the weather here in Maine is starting to feel like fall.  I like it but I don't.  Rather bittersweet as today is my last Tuesday of summer vacation.  Not a tragedy.  Just time to start thinking about back-to-school for myself and the kids.

Energy Fruits.   
Texture like applesauce only more fruit and a great fuel for long runs.  Well, at least I thought so!!  

Kelapo Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.
100% organic, trans fat free and a very natural flavor.  I used it as an olive oil replacement for my veggies.  Absolutely delicious.  

Saffron Road Crunchy Chickpeas.  
Non-GMO, crunchy, packs a ton of heat!  I'm still snacking on them and I love them.  Going to be a staple for me to put in my snack drawer at school.  

Zevia Ginger Ale.
Refreshing, no calores, no sugar - no guilt.  A soda I feel okay letting my kids drink and I enjoy just as much.  And I don't even like soda.  But Zevia does it for me.  

Zing Bar.  
Which I ate immediately  There was no waiting for that!!!  Non-GMO, gluten free, soy-free - fudgy brownie bar that is packed with 10 g of protein and 6 g of fiber.  


Runa.
A light and refreshing tea packed with energy.  My two samples disappeared far too fast.  Loved them!  

Aquatowel.  
Perfect to stash in your gym bag or purse.  You never know when you are going to want to freshen up!  The smell wasn't overwhelming it was absolutely perfect.

Socks are very important to a runner.   If they rub you the wrong way, it will make for a very uncomfortable run.  Bunching up, toes too cold, too hot, rubbing - all things that can go wrong with a sock.  I'm sure there are some other scenarios I've left out. Meet Sarah & Kelly   They are the women behind Spandits.   Spandits is a Maine company specializing in creating high quality, original athletic apparel.  Both of these women are amazing.  They are mothers, running coaches and marathoners.  They know running and what feels good. the label - on my capris, it is located just below the knee I came across their store on Ward's facebook page a few months ago and immediately fell in love.   I have gotten quite bored with my plain black and gray tights and capris.  Yes, they match just about any top, but there's nothing special about them at all.  Now, Spandits is all about special and original.  They stand out in a crowd and definitely get quite a bit of attention. ArmPocket Review + Giveaway

One of the must haves when running is my phone.  I run with it for safety and of course, to stop and take a picture.  You never know when you'll see something great on the side of the road or when I have to take a selfie.  Runner priorities. I had this old arm band for the original iTouch I bought Ward years ago, so I've been using that running armband for my iPhone.  Well, sometimes.  It's horrible.  It's hard to get my phone in and out of it.  It's not water resistant at all.  And there's no room to carry other things in it.  Very frustrating. Which lead to me simply carrying my phone.  With my hands.   And I was okay with that.  It was quite easy to take a picture because I already had the phone in my hand.  But there was one problem.  A pretty major one and I didn't even notice until my brother-in-law saw me running one day and asked me why I didn't use my arms when I run.  Hmmmm......   I thought I was using my arms.  I have many pictures
