My Favorite Run

Last week Izzy and I set out for our first run together.


We brought along the jogger - her words "just in case I need a rest".
But honestly, she didn't really sit in it a whole lot.  



We sprinted.  
We jogged.  
We stopped to stretch.  



It was an absolute blast!  



She told me that she wants to always go with me when I run.  I love this girl!  I am looking forward to many more of these runs with my favorite little girl!

    Just wait a few years and then sign her up to do a local 5K with you. I look forward to running with my daughter more as she gets older (though I fear she is on the verge of outrunning me).

    best post ever. I always think of me and Nate's "future kids" and wonder what kind of examples we will be setting for them with running. This is certainly what I hope for. (p.s. she is super cute!)

    Aww so cute! I love that you went for a run together. My brother, my mom and I would go running together when we were on cross country. People said we looked like mom and baby ducks, ha!

Socks are very important to a runner.   If they rub you the wrong way, it will make for a very uncomfortable run.  Bunching up, toes too cold, too hot, rubbing - all things that can go wrong with a sock.  I'm sure there are some other scenarios I've left out. Running at night scares used to terrify me.  But, it all comes down to if I want to run I had to get over this fear.  Running in the darkness is my only option if I plan on running Monday through Friday since it’s dark before school and getting dark when I leave school and it’s going to be this way until mid February/March.  I supposed option B would be to rejoin the gym, but I really don’t want to spend the $$ and I don’t really enjoy the treadmill anymore.  So, outside it is! Tommie Rocks + Giveaway!

 A little over a month ago, Jordan from  Tommie Copper  sent me some Tommie Copper gear to sample.  I nearly peed my pants with excitement when the Tommie package came in the mail.  It was a gorgeous fall afternoon AND I had new gear to try out, so I pushed dinner back and made the executive decision to go for a run immediately.  Have you heard about Tommie Copper ?  This company is known for it’s compression gear that is infused with Copper.  So, why does Tommie use copper in it’s compression gear?  From what I gather, copper has been used medicinally for 1000’s of years.  Apparently copper stimulates the immune system to fight infections, repairs injured tissues and promotes healing.  Do you think if I outfitted myself in TC gear and wore it to school everyday, I would fight off those gross elementary kid germs?  I’m tempted to try that out.  Seriously.   Why do people even wear compression gear?  Do they just like wearing tight clothing?
