Cherish The Moments

Forgive me for getting all sappy on you.  I love my kids and will move heaven and earth for them.  With our cancer scare with our older son, it's really shaken me up and I've been wanting to spend more and more time with my kids.  I don't care what we're doing.  If we're cuddling on the couch, shopping at Target, reading a book, taking a walk in the snow.  Just as long as we're together and smiling.  That's all what matters.  






I was sent the Scala Slouchy Beret to review.  When it came, Izzy immediately looked at me with her gorgeous hazel eyes and asked if she could have the hat.  Of course, I melted and said yes.  And she looks so much cuter in it than I do anyway.




She loves it and wears it just about overtime we go shopping or for a walk because it's her "fancy hat".  Isn't that so cute?  I love the way it looks on her and matches just about everything she owns.




This little girl has taught me so much about love.  She has a big heart and loves with all of her heart.  Her smile and laugher is contagious.  I want to keep her little forever.

Socks are very important to a runner.   If they rub you the wrong way, it will make for a very uncomfortable run.  Bunching up, toes too cold, too hot, rubbing - all things that can go wrong with a sock.  I'm sure there are some other scenarios I've left out. Running at night scares used to terrify me.  But, it all comes down to if I want to run I had to get over this fear.  Running in the darkness is my only option if I plan on running Monday through Friday since it’s dark before school and getting dark when I leave school and it’s going to be this way until mid February/March.  I supposed option B would be to rejoin the gym, but I really don’t want to spend the $$ and I don’t really enjoy the treadmill anymore.  So, outside it is! Tommie Rocks + Giveaway!

 A little over a month ago, Jordan from  Tommie Copper  sent me some Tommie Copper gear to sample.  I nearly peed my pants with excitement when the Tommie package came in the mail.  It was a gorgeous fall afternoon AND I had new gear to try out, so I pushed dinner back and made the executive decision to go for a run immediately.  Have you heard about Tommie Copper ?  This company is known for it’s compression gear that is infused with Copper.  So, why does Tommie use copper in it’s compression gear?  From what I gather, copper has been used medicinally for 1000’s of years.  Apparently copper stimulates the immune system to fight infections, repairs injured tissues and promotes healing.  Do you think if I outfitted myself in TC gear and wore it to school everyday, I would fight off those gross elementary kid germs?  I’m tempted to try that out.  Seriously.   Why do people even wear compression gear?  Do they just like wearing tight clothing?
