Ward has got the be the greatest husband ever!  Look what he came home with for me -




Of course we don't have that kind of money just laying around, or I'd be driving a 
nicer car for sure.  We're just super fortunate he works at LL Bean 
has great benefits (like the eStore) - so we got a fabulous deal on this bike.  



A Specialized Sequoia Elite road bike.  Yippie!  
 I see a lot of biking in my future.

      I did enjoy biking last summer on the old one - but now I know I'm going to LOVE this one!!! The old one is for sale on craigslist by the way.

Socks are very important to a runner.   If they rub you the wrong way, it will make for a very uncomfortable run.  Bunching up, toes too cold, too hot, rubbing - all things that can go wrong with a sock.  I'm sure there are some other scenarios I've left out. Running at night scares used to terrify me.  But, it all comes down to if I want to run I had to get over this fear.  Running in the darkness is my only option if I plan on running Monday through Friday since it’s dark before school and getting dark when I leave school and it’s going to be this way until mid February/March.  I supposed option B would be to rejoin the gym, but I really don’t want to spend the $$ and I don’t really enjoy the treadmill anymore.  So, outside it is! Tommie Rocks + Giveaway!

 A little over a month ago, Jordan from  Tommie Copper  sent me some Tommie Copper gear to sample.  I nearly peed my pants with excitement when the Tommie package came in the mail.  It was a gorgeous fall afternoon AND I had new gear to try out, so I pushed dinner back and made the executive decision to go for a run immediately.  Have you heard about Tommie Copper ?  This company is known for it’s compression gear that is infused with Copper.  So, why does Tommie use copper in it’s compression gear?  From what I gather, copper has been used medicinally for 1000’s of years.  Apparently copper stimulates the immune system to fight infections, repairs injured tissues and promotes healing.  Do you think if I outfitted myself in TC gear and wore it to school everyday, I would fight off those gross elementary kid germs?  I’m tempted to try that out.  Seriously.   Why do people even wear compression gear?  Do they just like wearing tight clothing?
