A Family Affair

On the menu tonight:  Jillian Michaels 6-Pack DVD.  

Tucker actually got excited when he noticed I had a new DVD (well, it was new on Monday, but close enough!).  So he rushed into the living room to join me.  




Then Izzy joined me too.  

I'm not really sure what's going on with Tucker's eyes here...they look so black & scary!  

Of course she bailed within 5 minutes.....



But Tucker stuck it out the entire 30 minutes.  He was so proud of himself and said he was going to be so good in PE now.  He's so cute!





We did level 1, I am not ready for level 2 yet.  I don't know that I will ever be.   But, I keep telling myself that working on my core strength is only going to improve my running.

    All of you just rock--such a cute family. Good luck with your core..mine was best in my 40s believe it or not! I had a six pack for a bit and so glad someone took a pic to prove it haha

Socks are very important to a runner.   If they rub you the wrong way, it will make for a very uncomfortable run.  Bunching up, toes too cold, too hot, rubbing - all things that can go wrong with a sock.  I'm sure there are some other scenarios I've left out. Running at night scares used to terrify me.  But, it all comes down to if I want to run I had to get over this fear.  Running in the darkness is my only option if I plan on running Monday through Friday since it’s dark before school and getting dark when I leave school and it’s going to be this way until mid February/March.  I supposed option B would be to rejoin the gym, but I really don’t want to spend the $$ and I don’t really enjoy the treadmill anymore.  So, outside it is! Tommie Rocks + Giveaway!

 A little over a month ago, Jordan from  Tommie Copper  sent me some Tommie Copper gear to sample.  I nearly peed my pants with excitement when the Tommie package came in the mail.  It was a gorgeous fall afternoon AND I had new gear to try out, so I pushed dinner back and made the executive decision to go for a run immediately.  Have you heard about Tommie Copper ?  This company is known for it’s compression gear that is infused with Copper.  So, why does Tommie use copper in it’s compression gear?  From what I gather, copper has been used medicinally for 1000’s of years.  Apparently copper stimulates the immune system to fight infections, repairs injured tissues and promotes healing.  Do you think if I outfitted myself in TC gear and wore it to school everyday, I would fight off those gross elementary kid germs?  I’m tempted to try that out.  Seriously.   Why do people even wear compression gear?  Do they just like wearing tight clothing?
