Banjees Review + Giveaway
Since a majority of my runs are on the Kennebec River Rail Trail, I usually drive there. That leads me one issue - where do I put my keys? Some of my running apparel has those little pockets, but most of them do not. That is where the Sprigs Banjees comes in handy.
I chose the Big Banjees - because I have been wanting something that would carry my cell phone as well as my keys. There are a couple of "shady" spots along the trail that do make me a bit nervous. Having my phone with me does make a difference in those situations. I'd rather be safe.
I've been wearing my Banjees for a couple of weeks now on my shorter to medium runs and I am really enjoying it.
First off, it's cotton. At first, I wasn't sure if I'd like that, but after several very sweaty runs, I've decided that my Banjees is perfect for wiping the sweat away from my eyes. There is nothing worse stinging sweat pouring into my eyes during and after a run. Yuck. Banjees came to the rescue for me.
Of course I chose the purple Big Banjees. We all know I love purple!
I've really liked the challenge of seeing what else I can get into my Banjees.
yes - I actually got all of this in my Banjees on a run - it really does hold quite a bit! |
Another great use I have found is bringing my Banjees with me when working around the yard or the garden. I like to have my phone with me, but again, don't always have a pocket to hold it in.
I've tried putting my phone under the strap to my bra or tank - but it really just looks weird and the phone gets sweaty. So I brought along my Banjees with me in the garden. Success!
Overall - Banjees gets 2 Thumbs Up!
Now, do you want a chance to win your own Sprigs Banjees? The generous folks at Sprigs has offered one of my readers the chance to win your own Sprigs Banjees.

I like the ones with the reflective stripes!
ReplyDeleteThis looks more comfortable than the spi one I had (I gave it to a girl I always saw running with her key on a string around her neck! I felt bad when I would see her holding it in her hand while she ran so it didn't bonk her in the forehead while it was bouncing around!)
ReplyDeleteI love the organic cotton Pink Tie-Dye. It would go great with my marathon outfit!
ReplyDeleteYou sure keep a lot of stuff in yours! That's impressive!
ReplyDeleteI love the purple/black paisley one they have. So cute!
I love the pink and black! Or the purple tie-dye!
ReplyDeleteI like the tie die purple big banjee :D
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! I live in NYC and because we ride the subway and don't have trunks and cars, it makes it hard to go for runs far from home. I may have to get one of these soon, such a great idea! Love the colors too!
ReplyDeleteI like the pink and black or the reflective neon one :)
ReplyDeleteMost boring person on the planet right here because I would choose the big black/black one.:)
ReplyDeleteI'd choose the Black African print...so cool!
ReplyDeleteI have one of these and love it. I actually have that same one in purple!
ReplyDeleteI recently started running with my jogging stroller and have found that I don't have an extra hand for my iPod now, which I use to track mileage. This would be the perfect solution, and I'd pick the big banjee in black/african black.
ReplyDeleteI want one with the reflective stripes!
ReplyDeleteI totally need one of these! My arm band broke! :(
ReplyDeleteI'm always for adding reflectivity because I run after 8:30 PM more often than not and only a couple months of the year is that in quasi-daylight. And I hate not having a place for my key/phone/money. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Want to ask you about another review - the quicksip handheld bottle from a few weeks back. I had bought one, but not run with it when you did the review. I've since taken it a couple times and I'm curious how you deal with your hand getting cold. I don't like to drink lukewarm liquid, but the icey bottle in my hand isn't comfortable. It was crazy hot out and it wasn't as icey on the way home, but it was a down side for me. Still better than not having water though.
I like the organic cotton pale blue the very best... but I just NEED one so any one would be fine right now! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you! Big, purple banjee
ReplyDeleteLove this! Would love to give it a try!
ReplyDeleteI was just going to say that I couldn't pick one because they all look cool, but then I saw the Rainbow Peace Sign and I know that's the one.
ReplyDeleteI want a tie dye wrist wallet!!
ReplyDeletei love the turquoise one!
ReplyDeleteOK, just found your giveaway and started following your blog! Love these wristbands. I've been needing something. I like the pink tie dye :) If I don't win I'm totally adding this to my Christmas list. Thanks for the info!!

ReplyDeleteGreat Post as always! The purple rocks!
ReplyDeleteI too would love the purple! There really is no other color.....and it will match my hair! :) it would be great to have for my inhaler. I keep it in my bra now and it fills with sweat......gross!
ReplyDeleteWould love to try this - I'm training for my first half marathon and starting to experiment with different fuels - this would be great to store them in along with Id and key!
