A shoe name like that makes you want to run in it, right?  Absolutely!  Even if you say you don't want to be a faster runner, deep down inside, you know you do! I've run in Karhu's before.  I was impressed before and I continue to be impressed.  The Karhu Fast 5 is quite the shoe! With two parents who are runners and are super picky about what we put on our feet, you better believe we are pickier when it comes to what we put on our kids' growing feet.  Which makes our kids quite lucky.   I think so, anyway.   I have two mini-me runners on my hands and I need them to have great shoes on their feet. Since I started running, I've run quite a few brands - Nike, New Balance,  Saucony, Mizuno, Brooks, Asics, Altra, Under Armour, Reebok and most recently Topo Athletic.  Each shoe is very different from the other and many are great for one purpose while another one might be great for another purpose.  I have my short, fast run shoes, my long slow trainers, my racing shoes, trail shoes, cross fitness shoes, and half marathon/marathon shoes.  One might say I have become shoe obsessed.  I definitely cannot dispute that. I recently had the opportunity to try out the Topo Athletic Run RT shoe.   I have this real attraction to minimalist shoes and these shoes have a look that draws you in and really intrigue you.   I tracked the shipping of these shoes for days....and when they finally arrived, I couldn't wait to put them on and take them for a test drive.  What was pretty cool about the Topo folks is that they included two complimentary pairs of split toe socks made by Injinji especially for Topo Athletic shoes .    And because I like these socks so much, I wear them for everyday wear - to work under my leather boots with other sneakers.  They are pretty awesome.
