Here’s to YOUR Health with Genexa Health

Image
I have seriously lost count of the number of colds that have passed through my family this past cold season.  And every single time, I cringe when I have to take medication or give it to one of my littles (or not-so-little anymore).   First, it tastes nasty.  Second, who knows what the heck is in that stuff!  I usually find myself in the cold medication aisle at the drugstore, looking at medication over and over again, looking for something that might be better for you.     Guess what folks?  The search is over!   Genexa Health has Cold Crush for adults and children.  Never heard of it before?  It’s okay.  I hadn’t either.  Until I had the opportunity to review it.  Now, I cannot go back.   Genexa Health is the world’s first and only USDA certified organic and Non-GMO Project Verified homeopathic over-the-counter medication.  Genexa medications are made from healthier, purer products, that...

Tried It Tuesday

Happy Valentine's Day!  And if you're in Maine, happy late start or snow day for you.  The clean up is still going on from yesterday's blizzard dumping, just in time for another crazy snow tomorrow!  I can honestly say I am 100% done with snow.   But, from the looks of it, the snow will be here for a little while, so I may as well embrace it.   Sorta.   I love snowshoeing and if I can make a trail or two, I'll get out and do more snowshoe running in my fields and woods.  But someone suggested I look into snow mobile trails.  I'm sure there are some in my area.  I just don't know where.   I'll do some searching and perhaps head out there.  That would keep me from the side of the roads where it is super dangerous (on my road especially!) and change it up a bit from my treadmill love-affair.   Something I thought would be perfect to share with you today is my love for Red Ace Organics .  I've been trying ...

Lumo Run a 1:1 Running Coach?

Image
You don't know how many times, just after I finish a race, Ward is telling me about how awful my form is.   In my head, my form rocks.  But, then I see race photos and listen to Ward and I know it needs help.  Like BIG time help! A majority of the time, I run alone.  I would rather run with a partner, don't get me wrong.  But scheduling doesn't always allow it.  When I do get to run with someone, it's like a special treat!    As one of my goals this year is to "Master the Half", I know I need to zone in on my form.  Short of having Ward bike beside me and shout corrections at me (which, by the way would be super bad for our marriage),  I am not sure what else I can do.   I guess I could record my form on the treadmill.  But now I don't have to!  I have my one 1:1 Running Coach, in the form of a simple looking running tool called Lumo Run.   I had the opportunity to try out Lumo Run at the Boston Ma...

SKINS DNAmic Compression product review {+giveaway}

Image
Disclosure:  This post is sponsored by  SKINS  through my partnership with Fit Approach. While I received a pair of SKINS for this review, I did not receive any additional compensation. As always, all opinions are my own. It just seems like yesterday summer began.... and now it's nearly over!    Where does the time go?  Oh that's right.  I spent my summer studying for the Praxis, coaching summer track, having fun with the kids, and marathon training.   Summer always flies by... but no problem.  There will be many more summers to come and enjoy!   (at least that's what I'm telling myself while inside I have a meltdown about having to get my classroom ready for another year!)   This busy crazy momma has put a lot of miles on her feet and legs this summer in preparation for marathons 7 & 8 and I've been super excited to put SKINS to the test with my training, with running, strength, recovery, you name it.   ...

Run More, Stink Less

I'm seriously not sure how I manage to work during the school year!  My days are packed full everyday in the summer.  This appointment.  That appointment.  Tires. Doctors. Registrations.  Pets.    Then there's track for the kids and my marathon training!Add in the beach time and other fun things... and summer is packed!   It's not wonder I wash 2-3 loads of super stinky laundry each day!   We're always moving.  Always on the go.  Always sweating.  Not to mention I have a teenager.... so he just naturally has a funk.   I've been super appreciative of being able to test out Win Detergent over the past few weeks!   Win Detergent comes in two different scents.  The Blue Bottle is my favorite.  The smell is amazing.   It's light and fresh.  The Green Bottle is the dye free, fragrance free version made especially for people with sensitive skin.  I still ...

Stay Charged On The GO!

April Break for us means our annual trip to Boston for the best Marathon Monday ever!  The husband, Mr. Running With The Girls, has run Boston for the past 5 years.  Which means, that for the past 5 years, it's become our routine to head down to Boston for the expo, head to Ward and Wade's aunt and uncle's house for lots of family time, and then the Boston Marathon! I've spectated the Boston Marathon 4 out of those 5 years.  The one year I didn't spectate, I actually ran it.   expo fun!   Spectating the Boston Marathon is no joke!  It seriously takes quite a bit of planning and organizing to get you through the day!  One day, Ward will be the spectator and will completely appreciate all of the work that goes into spectating!  By all means, I am not comparing the prep-work to spectating to the years of prep-work it takes to qualify for the race and then train for race day... or the hardwork of the fundraisers.   Hats off to...

Say GOODBYE to Chafing and Blisters with 2Toms SportShield

Image
The truth is, I have ugly feet.  Runner's are not known for having gorgeous, feet anyway.  But those bunions I have just look ewww to me!  And I have found over the years, that once in a while, no matter which pair of socks or which shoes I decide to run in, for some unknown reason, I'll get some chafage by my bunion. Let's talk about unpleasant!  Because once there's rubbing, wearing any shoes is just not fun.  I can't exactly go to work barefoot, so I need to take some preventative steps.   Sometimes the area will blister, which just makes for an angry runner. When I came across the opportunity to review 2Toms Sport Shield to prevent Chafing AND Blisters, I was skeptical.  2 needs in 1 product.  But I needed to see if 2Toms could deliver on the promise to have happy feet again.   I like how 2Toms Sport Shield comes in roll-on form and in travel "wipes" form.  Both are super easy to stash in a gym bag or p...
