My Next Venture

Immediately after signing up for the marathon, I told Ward that when I complete the marathon, I was going to get a 26.2 tattoo.  As you all know, I completed said marathon, and now I need to plan that tat. 

Of course, I've been looking online for ideas.




But, they are not me. 

Danielle's profile pic for her blog is simple and my style, but I don't want to copy her tat. 

I do know it's going to be on my foot, under my ankle, in the fleshy area. 
And it's going to be on my right foot, since this tattoo is on my left foot.

I would like for this new addition to be simple and not too crazy - like this one.

So, this is what I drafted. 


The idea is that for each marathon I complete, I will add another star. How many stars do you think I'll end up with? What if I become one of those incredible 80 year women still running marathons? I may end up with stars going up my leg.

What do you think?
Am I crazy for wanting a 26.2 tattoo?

    You are so badass! I think I told you that yesterday too! Love, love, LOVE your idea! Nice and simple, is something you can build on, and relates to your other tattoo, which I also love, by the way. Do stars hold a special meaning? I've wanted to get something to signify Ian and the boys, but haven't been able to come up with anything. But I've also known that when I run my first marathon next year, I'll be getting a new tattoo also!

    I know quite a few people who get a tattoo after finishing their first marathon. I hope you find the right image for you!

Socks are very important to a runner.   If they rub you the wrong way, it will make for a very uncomfortable run.  Bunching up, toes too cold, too hot, rubbing - all things that can go wrong with a sock.  I'm sure there are some other scenarios I've left out. Meet Sarah & Kelly   They are the women behind Spandits.   Spandits is a Maine company specializing in creating high quality, original athletic apparel.  Both of these women are amazing.  They are mothers, running coaches and marathoners.  They know running and what feels good. the label - on my capris, it is located just below the knee I came across their store on Ward's facebook page a few months ago and immediately fell in love.   I have gotten quite bored with my plain black and gray tights and capris.  Yes, they match just about any top, but there's nothing special about them at all.  Now, Spandits is all about special and original.  They stand out in a crowd and definitely get quite a bit of attention. ArmPocket Review + Giveaway

One of the must haves when running is my phone.  I run with it for safety and of course, to stop and take a picture.  You never know when you'll see something great on the side of the road or when I have to take a selfie.  Runner priorities. I had this old arm band for the original iTouch I bought Ward years ago, so I've been using that running armband for my iPhone.  Well, sometimes.  It's horrible.  It's hard to get my phone in and out of it.  It's not water resistant at all.  And there's no room to carry other things in it.  Very frustrating. Which lead to me simply carrying my phone.  With my hands.   And I was okay with that.  It was quite easy to take a picture because I already had the phone in my hand.  But there was one problem.  A pretty major one and I didn't even notice until my brother-in-law saw me running one day and asked me why I didn't use my arms when I run.  Hmmmm......   I thought I was using my arms.  I have many pictures
