5 for Friday

Happy Friday everyone!  Sharing my 5 for Friday today.

Hair Bands.
As the school year was winding down, I was convinced I was going to cut my hair short for the summer.  I mean real short.  I've been looking for a change and my hair drives me crazy.  But then Active On-The-Go Hair Band Bracelets offered to send me some really cute and fantastic hair bands to try out and I'm happy I didn't cut my hair because I have a great new hair tie collection to hold my hair up in the constant summer time pony.  I chose the 26.2 style mostly because I thought they were appropriate for my summer of training for marathon #4.

Pros.
- Adorable
- look great in your hair and on your wrist
- do not pull hair
- stretchy
- great tight hold in hair and pony tail doesn't fall out!
- really affordable!  6 hair ties for only $7.99.

Cons.
- none.  nada.  nothing.

Find them on Amazon or at Active Accessories USA.

Summer Track.
Honestly, I do not know how track coaches do it.  Well.  Coaches in general.  It takes a ton of time!!!  I wanted to do something positive for my children and other children in my town and start at track program.  The amount of time it takes for a very minimal program is overwhelming.   This week I've spent over 4 hours on the computer, 2 hours at practice on Monday and over 5 hours at the track meet yesterday!  And I'm only volunteering.  I am super grateful for my other coaches and parent volunteers on the team.  Without them I would completely lose my mind!

BUT, the smiles on the kids faces makes it all worth it!

Giveaways.
Right now I have 2 giveaways going on!!!  Check out my ACE Brands Elastic Bandage (ends 7/19/14) and Teavana (ends 7/16/14) Giveaways!

New creation this morning! Teavana smoothie.  Yum.

Spandits.
I'm entering season 2 as a Spandits Ambassador!  If you haven't checked out their apparel line, you really need to do it.  Once you have a piece of Spandits, you become an addict.  Trust me.  Their apparel stands up like nothing I've ever worn before.   The prints stand out.  When I'm running on my road, I want people to notice me especially so drivers don't hit me!

Last night I ran my first Bond Brook trail race of the season in my newest Spandits additions - the Starry Night women shorts and Rumple Skullskins headband.

Spandits!  is a family run company in Maine, co-owned by two very talented runners/coaches.  What I've noticed even more this summer is that when I run in Spandits, I don't have drippy, sweaty shorts sticking to me.  Spandits has a perfect fit that doesn't allow for chafing either.  When you make your Spandits purchase, please tell me Jen sent you!!!

Spandits carries kids and mens apparel as well! :)
Love.
Saving the best for last.  Monday will mark 13 years of marriage to Ward.  I cannot imagine my life without him.   I am looking forward to our date night.

Now I'm off to the garden to hopefully make some progress with some weeds!
