It's all about the pumpkin and hemp hearts! {+giveaway}

The changing leaves, crisp cooler air, boots, sweaters and scarves.... makes me crave pumpkin even more.

my view as I write this post.... simply gorgeous!  


I'm going strong with my morning smoothies and I have been loving adding pumpkin to my smoothies.  But now, I'm adding Hemp Hearts and my smoothie recipe is now complete!  





Why Hemp Hearts?  
* great taste!  they have a slightly nutty taste that I love!
* super nutritious! 10 g of protein and 10 grams of omegas per 30 gram serving  
* easy to use... sprinkle on your favorite food/drink and enjoy! 



Since the cleanse, I haven't enjoyed coffee as much.  What is wrong with me?  I used to drink 5-6 cups a day and now nothing!  Lucky for me, I still had jars of Trader Joes cold brew in my pantry (I like to stock up when I visit Portland!).   One morning I put some in my morning smoothie with vanilla Arbonne powder with some almond milk and pumpkin...and it was delicious but without the guilt.  

Here's my recipe:

Pumpkin "latte" Smoothie with Hemp Hearts 
* 2 scoops Arbonne Vanilla Powder 
* 1/3 cup of Trader Joes Cold Brew Coffee 
* 2 Tbsp of Pumpkin
*1 cup of your choice of Almond/Coconut/ or Cashew milk 

Blend then sprinkle some Hemp Hearts on top and enjoy!

Socks are very important to a runner.   If they rub you the wrong way, it will make for a very uncomfortable run.  Bunching up, toes too cold, too hot, rubbing - all things that can go wrong with a sock.  I'm sure there are some other scenarios I've left out. Running at night scares used to terrify me.  But, it all comes down to if I want to run I had to get over this fear.  Running in the darkness is my only option if I plan on running Monday through Friday since it’s dark before school and getting dark when I leave school and it’s going to be this way until mid February/March.  I supposed option B would be to rejoin the gym, but I really don’t want to spend the $$ and I don’t really enjoy the treadmill anymore.  So, outside it is! Tommie Rocks + Giveaway!

 A little over a month ago, Jordan from  Tommie Copper  sent me some Tommie Copper gear to sample.  I nearly peed my pants with excitement when the Tommie package came in the mail.  It was a gorgeous fall afternoon AND I had new gear to try out, so I pushed dinner back and made the executive decision to go for a run immediately.  Have you heard about Tommie Copper ?  This company is known for it’s compression gear that is infused with Copper.  So, why does Tommie use copper in it’s compression gear?  From what I gather, copper has been used medicinally for 1000’s of years.  Apparently copper stimulates the immune system to fight infections, repairs injured tissues and promotes healing.  Do you think if I outfitted myself in TC gear and wore it to school everyday, I would fight off those gross elementary kid germs?  I’m tempted to try that out.  Seriously.   Why do people even wear compression gear?  Do they just like wearing tight clothing?
