Photo of the days 4 & 5

Happy Monday to all of you.  I need to report that here in Maine we did have very mild January and February with very little snow.  I kept telling Ward, "this is nice, but we're going to get hit, just wait".  Then March came and it has snowed every single day since March 1st.  I know it's only March 5th, but 5 days of some type of snow accumulation is not fun for me at all.   I had no idea it was supposed to snow last night and was quite shocked when I looked outside to see about 3 ish inches on the ground and on my car.  If I had known about said snow, I would have parked the car in the barn.   Obviously, snow doesn't keep me inside for running, but I am a big baby when it comes to driving in the snow and I really dislike cleaning off the car and shoveling.  

But, looky here...check out the forecast for the rest of this week.  



That 56F on Thursday is looking mighty awesome right now!!!  Especially since it's to get as low as 2F tonight.  Brrr.   AND there is no snow in sight, well, for the next 5 days anyway.    March is a long month, and I'm sure we haven't seen the last of the snow.  



Okay, next up is day #4 of the March Photo of the Day - bedside.   Pretty boring.  


And here's day #5 - Smile.  


This is me, smiling, just after getting in the car after a very long Monday.  Smiling because I am not at work, smiling because I'm on my way home to see my family, and smiling because I'm going to yoga tonight.  A dorky smile.  But still a smile.

    Yikes! That is a lot of snowdays! We just got flurries that didn't stick over here in DC. We're suppose to get warmer temps too but I hate it when mother nature teases us like that....guess enjoy the warm temps as much as we can, right?

    You are super tough for living with so much snow, working, blogging and still being so dedicated to running. I am inspired by your work ethic and commitment , all that and then to keep on smiling is, impressive. Have a great day. :)

    Love all your pictures of the day! We've had a relatively mild winter here in Utah as well and we got snow on March 1st too. It was nice and warm yesterday and this morning and now it's back to snowing. That's spring for you! Although technically it isn't really spring yet. Thanks for your well wishes on my blog. So very nice. :)

    I live in Charlotte, NC and typically we get at least one snow day, last year it snowed 3 or 4 times and this year, nothing! I keep waiting for a little something, but our temps keep rising and falling and we have nothing but blue skies almost all the time. So I don't think we will be getting any snow this year :-(

Socks are very important to a runner.   If they rub you the wrong way, it will make for a very uncomfortable run.  Bunching up, toes too cold, too hot, rubbing - all things that can go wrong with a sock.  I'm sure there are some other scenarios I've left out. Running at night scares used to terrify me.  But, it all comes down to if I want to run I had to get over this fear.  Running in the darkness is my only option if I plan on running Monday through Friday since it’s dark before school and getting dark when I leave school and it’s going to be this way until mid February/March.  I supposed option B would be to rejoin the gym, but I really don’t want to spend the $$ and I don’t really enjoy the treadmill anymore.  So, outside it is! Tommie Rocks + Giveaway!

 A little over a month ago, Jordan from  Tommie Copper  sent me some Tommie Copper gear to sample.  I nearly peed my pants with excitement when the Tommie package came in the mail.  It was a gorgeous fall afternoon AND I had new gear to try out, so I pushed dinner back and made the executive decision to go for a run immediately.  Have you heard about Tommie Copper ?  This company is known for it’s compression gear that is infused with Copper.  So, why does Tommie use copper in it’s compression gear?  From what I gather, copper has been used medicinally for 1000’s of years.  Apparently copper stimulates the immune system to fight infections, repairs injured tissues and promotes healing.  Do you think if I outfitted myself in TC gear and wore it to school everyday, I would fight off those gross elementary kid germs?  I’m tempted to try that out.  Seriously.   Why do people even wear compression gear?  Do they just like wearing tight clothing?
