Product Review: Gone for A Run

I've got to admit, I have a new favorite sweatshirt.  If I'm not at work and I'm not running, I am wearing this sweatshirt.  



Gone for a Run has a new States line. shirts, mugs, wine glasses, decals, coasters.  You name it.  I love my States sweatshirt .  Go Maine!




The sweatshirts are unisex sized.  I chose a small and it's a perfect fit.  I love a comfy sweatshirt.  I especially love a Maine runner one, that is very original, super warm.  I've needed this super warm sweatshirt quite a bit lately given our especially cold winter that just won't stop handing out the negative temps.  

Truth be told, even after the negative temps disappear.  I'll still be putting this sweatshirt on - after running, after work, anytime because it's that fantastic.  

Shrinkage?  None.  There is nothing worse than loving a shirt but when you wash and dry it, it shrinks.  No problems here with this sweet sweatshirt.  



and you can get your shirt personalized!   I mostly asked for name to be put on the back to keep Ward from taking it.  Yes.  I've resorted to putting my name on thing to keep him from taking my things!

Socks are very important to a runner.   If they rub you the wrong way, it will make for a very uncomfortable run.  Bunching up, toes too cold, too hot, rubbing - all things that can go wrong with a sock.  I'm sure there are some other scenarios I've left out. Running at night scares used to terrify me.  But, it all comes down to if I want to run I had to get over this fear.  Running in the darkness is my only option if I plan on running Monday through Friday since it’s dark before school and getting dark when I leave school and it’s going to be this way until mid February/March.  I supposed option B would be to rejoin the gym, but I really don’t want to spend the $$ and I don’t really enjoy the treadmill anymore.  So, outside it is! Tommie Rocks + Giveaway!

 A little over a month ago, Jordan from  Tommie Copper  sent me some Tommie Copper gear to sample.  I nearly peed my pants with excitement when the Tommie package came in the mail.  It was a gorgeous fall afternoon AND I had new gear to try out, so I pushed dinner back and made the executive decision to go for a run immediately.  Have you heard about Tommie Copper ?  This company is known for it’s compression gear that is infused with Copper.  So, why does Tommie use copper in it’s compression gear?  From what I gather, copper has been used medicinally for 1000’s of years.  Apparently copper stimulates the immune system to fight infections, repairs injured tissues and promotes healing.  Do you think if I outfitted myself in TC gear and wore it to school everyday, I would fight off those gross elementary kid germs?  I’m tempted to try that out.  Seriously.   Why do people even wear compression gear?  Do they just like wearing tight clothing?
